It was early morning in Maine and our first stop of the day was Willard Beach in South Portland. My intention to mark their first and third birthdays with a sibling photo together. The past year of their lives—Mia’s 1st and Cole’s 3rd, they have spent almost every minute side-by-side. Not always playing nice, but still together! Mia shrieks with joy when she sees Cole each morning, and he is the one who makes her laugh harder than anyone else. I hope that always continues.
